Integrated User Groups

As the main target group of 2PCS can be defined by mobile persons to persons with limited abilities along the life phase model. To be able to satisfy the heterogenous target group by providing life phase oriented services, three different 2PCS solutions are offered:

Business Edition

The Business Edition is a formal care solution, which provides a full service solution by fully implementing the solution into the infrastructure of hospitals, clinics, residential cares and assisted living institutions. Special functions that are included in this solution are e.g. Indoor localisation. The solution targets mild cognitive impairent persons and persons fully or temporailiy dependent on help living in an elderly home. Benefits of the solution can be described as more allowance of mobility and a higher satisfaction of the urge to walk, as it is an inndoor and outdoor solution.

Home Edition

The Home Edition is an informal care solution, which provides a self-administration or full service solution. Thus an optional secondary end-user involvement is possible. The main target group of this solution are people living at home, which are easily disoriented as well as partly independent. The benefit provided by this solution is enabling more mobility through primary and secondary end user safety.

Private Edition

Active and mobile persons along the life phases are targeted with the Private Edition. This service solution provides different service packages, including different functions and features, a self-administration platform and easier access to information and help via the call center, which is of course included in all service versions of 2PCS. Thus the Private Edition provides active, mobile, adventure-oriented, culture-oriented and independent persons (professional athletes, amateur athletes and persons traveling) with increased safety, unique access to support, ad hoc services as well as access to geo and cardiac information.

Integrated Institutions

Before being able to integrate the different user groups described, the appropriate care facilities were selected. Requirements for the selection were:

  • Institutions that differ in terms of geographic location (city location, rural location), building, structure, resident profile, size and scope of services

  • Institutions that show readiness and motivation to participate

  • Estimate and accessibility / location of the facilities

Different facilities were included to find out about the different requirements of primary and secondary end users. The included facilities are categorized according to the type of users integrated into the research process and structured by the three different 2PCS solutions explained above.

The integrated institutions can be found under the following categories:
